TRANSFORM Climate Challenge – in collaboration with Climate Innovation Fund by SAJIDA Foundation and British Asian Trust

The TRANSFORM Climate Challenge is an initiative that aims to identify and support enterprises working on climate resilience and is specifically looking for innovations addressing plastic circularity. If you work in this area…

Programme Overview

TRANSFORM is an impact accelerator led by Unilever, the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and EY, providing business insights alongside funding. It supports early-stage business models and behaviour change interventions to deliver low-income household needs sustainably.

There is a growing opportunity for social enterprises to build climate resilience through innovative business models including regenerative agriculture, water, sanitation, hygiene and circularity-based business models. The aim of the TRANSFORM Climate Challenge, in collaboration with the Climate Innovation Fund, is to identify such solutions and help them scale. Our partners at Climate Innovation Fund have already received applications in the areas of regenerative agriculture, water and hygiene and so we are delighted to extend its scope to include plastics circularity.

Successful applicants will receive grants of up to £70,000 per enterprise, learning exchange and networking opportunities with other grantees, as well as a wide range of technology and business support through TRANSFORM and its partners.

We invite Bangladeshi social enterprises working on novel solutions that address at least one of the following areas to apply:

  • Improve the collection and processing of plastic waste, while integrating informal waste workers into the value chain
  • Implement innovative technologies/business models to enhance recycling capabilities for plastic waste, particularly for flexible plastics
