Around 52 percent of the world’s population do not have access to essential healthcare, and typically live in regions with a lack of skilled health workers, education, diagnostics, medicines, vaccinations and health insurance.
reach52 aims to reach this global population without access to healthcare. It builds a network of field agents, known as health entrepreneurs, made up of community health workers and trusted community members. These agents run info education, awareness and referral campaigns aimed at rural populations, while also generating an income for themselves.
With support from TRANSFORM, reach52 is expanding its network of female health entrepreneurs to rural parts of Karnataka, with a hygiene and nutrition related behaviour change campaign through two leading Unilever brands - Lifebuoy and Horlicks.
